First, the reason why the drone battery can not be charged

There are two main reasons why the drone battery cannot be charged:

1. The charger is faulty or damaged;

2, battery aging, or battery maintenance caused by battery damage.

1. Troubleshoot the fault

Method 1: Replace a normal drone battery for charging, if the battery data (voltage, capacity, etc.) displayed on the charger is still unchanged, it indicates that the charger is faulty;

Method 2: Another way to check whether the charger is unable to charge due to a fault is to use a voltage tester to detect, if the display voltage is not zero, it means that there is a problem with the drone battery.

2, battery repair

The cause of drone battery failure is damage caused by too long storage, poor maintenance or improper daily use. In addition, the reason may also be that it enters a deep discharge mode, and loses its storage capacity, which cannot be charged using conventional methods. So, we can try battery repair.

Solution: Start charging with the lowest possible current. The current is usually 0.1A. If you have a charger that allows you to choose its output voltage, you should choose a voltage that matches the nominal voltage of the lithium battery.

After a minute or two of charging, your battery should return to a voltage of 3.3V per battery. To check this, simply read the total voltage of the battery and divide that number by the number of batteries. When the voltage of the cell is equal to about 3.3V per cell, the cell is balanced at a rated voltage of 0.5C. This will take more time than charging at 1C, but it will be safer.
